As the Principal Consultant of G. M Bovell & Associates, a management consulting firm, specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Pricing, and Revenue Management projects. Gavin has completed his Master of Science degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and is the holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.  Gavin currently holds a lecturing position with the Department of Economics within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill) where he specializes in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.  

 

He was the Regional Manager of Pricing and Revenue Management for the regional airline LIAT (1974) Ltd for over five (5) years. Under his stewardship, the company’s revenue performance increased while also increasing the number of passengers transported. These results were achieved by leveraging the available data to effectively target each market segment being served. He also increased the number of strategic partnerships contracts which the airline

to increase the company’s international footprint and value proposition.

Prior to his experience at the airline, Gavin served in research positions with the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill) and The Delegation of the European Union to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

Gavin also has experience working in the government of multiple regional governments including both Guyana and Barbados.


He served as the youngest President of the Guyanese Association of Barbados Inc. Gavin has a passion for the economic development of the Caribbean region and its people. In particular, he has an interest in the role that logistics and supply chain management play in the facilitation of socio-economic activity.
